Welcome

If you’re reading this, something has brought you here. Perhaps you’ve been thinking about therapy for a while. Perhaps life has put you in a place where you need to re-evaluate where you are.

I work with people who often understand their difficulties but still find themselves stuck in familiar patterns. My approach is collaborative and unhurried. We work at your pace, and we meet in a way that feels safe for you. Alongside talking, I might draw on dreams, imagery, embodied drawing, expressive arts or breath and body movement. A gentle process that allows what’s difficult to put into words to unfold. It’s a path to help you find your own answers to what has happened and find a way through.

The door is open. If this resonates, you’re welcome to walk through.

Psychotherapy that meets you where you are, at your own pace

How this unfolds

Depth psychotherapy
This work pays attention to unconscious relational patterns and the ways early history continues to shape identity, intimacy and self-worth. The journey is not about quick fixes, it’s about understanding your inner landscape and how you are living in the world at your pace, exploring meaning so change becomes embedded and not just superficial.

Trauma & body-based awareness
If you have experienced relationship difficulties or attachment challenges, inner conflict and self-criticism, this approach works with what’s held in the mind and body. We draw on parts and inner system work and how it developed to keep you safe. Rather than fighting, we become curious and cultivate dialogue, and work both with conscious and unconscious experience. We draw on mindfulness, breath and body-based awareness, accessing patterns that live beyond clear narratives or linear memory.

Dreams
Dreams are not random. We work symbolically and relationally with dream imagery. It can offer meaningful insight into what’s happening beneath the surface of your everyday life. This is particularly supportive if you experience nightmares or repetitive dream patterns. Rather than treating them as puzzles to solve, we gently enquire and reflect on your experience and what may have been overlooked or unprocessed.

Expressive arts
This is a drawing process, but it’s not about artistic skill or creating something good. It’s about letting yourself express what may be difficult to put into words. We move slowly and with curiosity. At times experiences are held in stories and/or in the body. Expressive arts offers a safe and contained way for these to begin to emerge. Sometimes, what cannot yet be spoken can first be drawn.

Frequently asked questions

  • I offer a complimentary 20-minute consultation by phone or video call. This gives us a chance to get to know each other, explore what’s bringing you to therapy, and see whether working together feels right. There’s no obligation to continue - this time is for both of us to discover if it’s a good fit.

The first session or two will be an initial assessment where I take your history. This is also when we discuss what you want from therapy and form a plan together.

  • I recommend meeting at the same time each week. Consistency helps create a reliable container for deeper work.

  • It depends on many factors. Sometimes people want short-term work, others prefer long-term in an open-ended way. I usually negotiate our ending together. If you’re ready to end, I ask that we plan accordingly so there’s time to honour our journey and the ending properly.

  • I understand that life can be unpredictable. If you need to cancel or reschedule, I require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice. Otherwise the full session fee will be charged.

  • Everything we discuss is confidential. I work with a clinical supervisor to ensure ethical and reflective practice - supervision is also confidential. The only circumstances where I would need to break confidentiality are if I’m legally required to do so by a court of law.
